Here's my take on this Bro: It's not that he left the Cavs. I agree with you, don't get me wrong. Personally speaking, he gave them 7 years. If he wants to go elsewhere, that's his thing. Malone and Payton joined the Lakers to win a ring even if they were worshipped in Utah and Seattle. Nothing wrong with that. If anything, Malone in particular was forgiven eventually because Jazz fans understood.
What I do have an issue with is how he did it. It was probably the most selfish thing I've ever seen anyone do, a live TV special on where you're going to play. This is where we'd agree to disagree because he LeBron does have an ego. If he was going to leave, he could have leaked it out and not give Cleveland fans any hope, let them know he's going elsewhere. 'The Decision' was all about the spotlight, about how all the teams want him. IMHO I don't think he cared about letting them know, because if he did, there would be no need for the one-hour special. Very tasteless, it could have been handled with a little more tact.
I liken it to hearing that one of my family members was in an accident, but instead of getting word from the hospital or paramedics, I hear it on national television for all America to see.
Anyway, rant over. Ironically, despite all this, I'll still watch a Heat game. Whether they win or lose, I'll still watch. Seeing these three play together on the US team, I know they can whup some serious *** together. And playing Boston or LA in particular will be very interesting...I just dislike the way the Queen handled the whole affair, is all.
Thanks...I'll step off my soapbox now
