It pained me to get an auto...it really did...but I like performance and the best reviews I have seen all had autos (and interestingly enough...not the sport package 370s...thinking the extra rotational mass of the Sport package wheels and tires may slow it down a tick).

Anyway, my auto is quick. You should drive one sometime.
Exactamundo.

Whoever is making generalizations about autos and manuals on performance is overlooking the fact that for the 370Z, it has lock up in each gear, so there is virtually no difference in power transfer, as reflected in nearly the same whp for the AT as the MT on the dyno.

Also, the fastest times I've seen listed on here and in magazines all belong to the autos -- less human error and no missed shifts plus about the same power and torque means equal or better performance on the average.

Sorry guys, it may not be a DSG, but the auto on these cars is also not your traditional slushbox, and consequently the AT 370Z's are as fast or faster than the MT's even with a good driver.
