What hes missing is the initial hit of all the Torque the big V8s produce... While our engines come close in the horsepower game, we are way behind on TQ. Larger displacement engines, and turbo/SC cars will get their power earlier in the RPM range. Once our Zs get movin though we do pretty good.

As far as the OP's statement about adding power, again most of the bolt ons do wonders for top end HP, but we actually seem to wash out our TQ numbers, in some instances loose some down low. With intake, HFC, and full CBE im seeing roughly a wash on TQ and a gain of 40whp on a mustang dyno. This is actually just an assumption as i didn't do a baseline run... Im using others baselines for comparison but as we all know dynos, engines, and locations are all different.

With that being said, a 40rwhp gain on a mustang dyno from 3 bolt on's is VERY good for a N/A v6. My current numbers are 300hp/233tq on my friends mustang dyno. On a dynojet i would guess roughly 330/250, but again just an assumption based on an average variance between mustang and dynojet of around 10-15%.

*small edit: My numbers are on stock tune, and with a good dyno tune or something like the COBB AP, i should pull a few more up top and down low.

Long story longer, welcome to the forum!
