"While the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport has just entered the Guinness Book of Records with an average top speed of 267 mph, a new 2000hp TranStar Racing Dagger GT supercar is about to become the fastest supercar in the world.
Only five will be manufactured in 2011 and all but two have been pre-sold. U.S. based TranStar Racing says its design is based on the Corvette Cheetah concept by the brilliant industrial designer, Ivan Luccion and vows to break every major record, from being the fastest on a straight line to being the quickest around the Nurburgring.
Dagger GT’s will be made available in three different ’Race’ models:
Dagger GT-R will be their road racing model, with a dynamic, computer-managed split rear wing. It will be set up to challenge and establish new lap records at Virginia International Raceway and at Nurburgring, Germany.
Dagger GT-LS will be their land-speed model with 500 mph – rated M/T land-speed tires, front-end ballast, full belly-pan with twin venturi tunnels, Bonneville wheel covers, drag chute, aero intake plugs, optional land-speed windscreen, Bonneville roll-cage and a range of other options to help potential buyers set new land-speed records in excess of 300 mph.
Dagger GT-D will be their drag racing model with Goodyear Pro Stock Slicks, hydraulic-launch JEGS double drag chutes, NHRA roll-cage and a modified/changeable rear suspension that will enable 200 mph, under 6.7 seconds in the quarter mile for customers who love to drag race. The GT-D should also reach zero-to-sixty in 1.5 seconds.
All race models will be convertible to street-legal if desired by owners. TranStar will also continue to offer Sport and Luxury street-legal models:
Dagger GT-S will be their “Sport” model, a street-legal version of the GT-R model. The owner may specify a race, street or luxury-ride suspension and interiors.
Dagger GT-X will be their luxury model with all the interior, exterior and ride-quality luxuries imaginable and specified by the owner.
