I'm just playing devil's advocate to be honest, but let's just say the OP here is kind of like myself...

I'm not going to college - I graduated with a B.S. in 2007 @ 19. I've had the same job since then. Now I'm 22, paying for 2 $32k-37k cars, insurance, gas, rent on a house, living expenses for 2; and we still have plenty of spending/saving money after all that. And then the end of the year rolls around and we get a nice chunk of cash to pay off bills and buy some gifts. I also work on the side to make a little bit to pay for little things to do to the cars. This may seem unrealistic to you, but this is my life @ 22.

My point is, who is to say the OP is not in a similar financial situation? It happens. And I could see myself bitching about jealous "friends" just the same. Give him a break, nothing irritates me more than when somebody looks at me, or at my driveway when we're washing the cars, and assumes "mommy and daddy" bought these; or that I'm somehow unfairly advantaged to be able to afford such things at a young age.
