They use a much thinner oil as it's run in now, so the engine can spin up with less resistance when hot. Thats why most performace engines go for a wide range 5-50 fully synthetic.

They also clear the ECU learned maps as I saw the line item on my invoice. I now always request an ECU reset, as it makes a big difference going from Summer (hot air, low oxygen, less timing to avoid detonation) into Winter (cold, dense air, more aggressive advanced timing). It affects the tune based on your throttle position and timing advancement, which give you that nice responsive snap, or sluggish delayed feel. I used to do this myself with a timng light on the old mechanical distributers on previous cars and run some crazy advanced timing just before it pinged.

Oh by the way, I could never get Evans secret ECU pedal press method to work to reset the ecu???
