But what I see from this board is that many of the people move up from mommy-mobiles straight to the Z. While it's not a beast of a car, it's definitely enough to get in trouble to inexperienced drivers. I've been a member of a lot of car boards in the last 8-ish years, and I've never seen another car where so many people totaled them in such a quick time.
While what you say is true, it isn't what is being expressed when the topic of VDC comes up. Most of the posters here seem to believe VDC off = death. It's pretty annoying to get ragged on for turning it off as if I'm committing a mortal sin when they're the ones who don't know how to drive. I know full well how to handle a car without any help from a nanny.

For people who know how to drive, turning off VDC just gives you more control. If you know how to control the car, there is no issue. If you haven't had the experience to learn how yet, leave the thing on until you do.
