Interesting route. I was wondering what would happen if I took the unfashionable route and went with smaller wheels, but I was worried about the caliper clearance. I will say, you can't claim all the weight savings unless you have tire weight factored in as well. You're going to need more rubber to keep the radius. That said, smaller wheels will definitely be an advantage. I give them .1 sec on 0-60 though, not .5

I was thinking of following Nismo's example and going with 9.5 and 10.5 width. Do you think they'll do those widths and appropriate offsets in that wheel? (my guess is no).

And thanks all for the comments about bending. I'm coming out of MR2-land, so I haven't had wheels this large to deal with. AW11 owners are experts at conserving rotational momentum (I've got ultralight 15s!)
