What to do? Make a plan for getting wheels back on it. Stock wheels will be delivered to the dealer not your home. You'll need a means of transporting them to you since you're vehicle is immobile. Once you have the new wheels do you have the tools to mount them? In my case the insurance company allowed me to replace my stolen wheels with aftermarkets as long as the cost did not exceed the oem replacement cost. Used Tirerack and had them delivered to my home. Used a tow company to assist with the install.

Preventing? Almost impossible. My advice is to think like a thief. They want to be quick and quiet. Anything you get to slow them down and make noise is a plus and encourages them to move to an easier target.

What about damage to the undercarriage/suspension and alignment?
