And thank goodness the ABS was working as well.
There was a car going the same direction as me in the center turn lane waiting to make a left turn. I was at 35 MPH (for once I wasn't speeding
). Out of nowhere a car turns left in front of me. I had nowhere to go. Hit the brakes as hard as I could. ABS did its job and I missed the other car by less than a foot.
I never saw the car until it was sideways in front of me. They couldn't have been at a stop as they were there so quickly. I think my heart rate just returned to normal.
