I love the look of them and know a lot of Z owners have bought them for theirs, so what is the honest opinion?

I would recommend that you at least save some more money and buy a set of Enkei's RP1's over the XXR's. XXR's are very popular in the 240 and Honda community because they are a very cheap wheel but I wouldn't put them on a 370Z.
A set of -4- Enkei RPF1's can be had on the used market for around $1,000 if you search carefully.
I still think you should try to see the wheels in person at some local meets and also do some additional research, it will save you money in the long run.
