only thing i can see happening to the Z34 anytime soon is Nissan switching to a direct injection version of the VQ37VHR during a mid-model refresh. that could push well over 350hp easy and probably boost mpg by at least 1 in the city and highway. but with all the issues DI has been having recently (especially turbo'd engines) i'd be kinda skiddish of it in a Z until it's been put through it's paces.

if you are speaking of the future "Z35" model, then who knows but most likely we will see a D.I. 6 cyl mild hybrid. battery assist but most likely not a full hybrid
