Theres a difference between bending and shredding. That wouldn't happen to a high quality forged wheel. plus, Enke's aren't really considered expensive wheels. They are good, solid wheels, but no where near the expensive zone. You can get a set of enkei's for the price of like 1 BBS.

True, you don't need to spend 4k on a set of wheels, but for 150/200 for a new wheel, its gonna be cast, and its gonna be crap.

i'm sure these pictures are the result of these wheels being pushed very hard, probably on a track or something, where they never belonged. however, i'm not going to trust anything that would SHRED EVER, under ANY circumstances. If a truck goes to merge into me, and i need to floor it, or swerve out of the way or do some sudden move, i dont want to have to worry about my wheel shredding.

the wheels that come on our cars are good. if you can't afford to replace them with something of equal or better quality then don't. Don't downgrade safety and performance for looks.
