If you're gonna drive it. Do a full detail in late fall before the first snow. Get a nice couple layers of selant or synthetic polymer wax on the paint and your winter wheels(if you care about the wheels) that will last a while . even if you like carnuba, it just wont last through the winter if you try and wash your car enough to keep it clean. Washing your car in winter isn't going to be the funnest thing ever, but you definitely aren't going to want to wax it.

When you wash the car, make sure you wash the undercarriage well. Use the high pressure setting on the hose and make sure to wash all the salt and stuff away to the best of your ability. Get a big brush and clean the wheel wheels well each time you wash and get rid of all the salt. The whole problem with any car in winter is the salt and grime getting all over and under the car and corroding the metal. Wash your car often and have it sealed up well and i think you should be ok.
