In Canada we don't get an option for stereos. All 370Z are the touring model here. So, assuming that the OP bought his car from Canada, since he lives in Ottawa, I would say that he swapped it out with the Bose Touring unit.
I just had a Pioneer Z120BT installed with the Bose touring package and the sound is substantially better. That might be because the DNX9960 and the Z120BT come with EQs (the Kenwood has more settings though I think). My only issue is there is constant annoying hissing which should be fixed with either the Metra harness for premium Nissan factory stereos (
http://www.metraonline.com/products.aspx?s=70-%207551) or installer wizardry. This might be an isolated issue with me as I haven't read about anyone else having this issue. Then again I haven't read about anyone else putting in a Z120BT in their car.
