So here's what's going on so far. The Cops still haven't gotten around to the case, but my insurance is running the plates already. This takes about 2-5 days. The car is at the repair shop waiting for the appraiser to come look at it, which should happen today. The guys are going to push for door replacement, and at the same time fix my fender. I'm paying for the fender, but they're going to give me a good deal on it, so I'm happy.

Since the insurance approved a rental vehicle, I got hooked up to the tits. I'm driving a Porche Cayenne S right now, fully loaded at least I feel a little better now! Since the cayenne rental is more expensive than a regular corolla, the rental guy is going to work it out with insurance to make sure I don't overpay. Man it's nice to have connections!

Not sure as to how long the whole process will take though. If it's just dent repair, 2-3 days should do it, but if we have to wait for a new door, it will probably be a few weeks. I will let you guys know when I find out, in case I have to bail on the next meet

When they find the driver, the insurance will work with the cops to charge him with failing to remain at the scene of an accident. His insurance will be billed every penny and I don't have to pay a thing. If for some weird reason they don't find him, I pay a $1000 deductible but my rate stays the same because it's not my fault. If he's uninsured, I pay $300 deductible, and the insurance will take him straight through a collection agency, and the first $300 that he pays back goes back into my pocket. My insurance guy also confirmed with me that green G35's are few and far between so even if I got the plate off by a number or two (which I highly doubt) they will still most likely find him.

So that's that right now, I'm having trouble sleeping because of it, but hey sh** happens. Anyone got a Z I can borrow?
