I looked at a couple when I was purchasing my Evo X, but never test drove one. I was too turned off by the look and feel of the car, and the poorly-oriented interior to even bother. I've never once said it was a turd of a car, just that it's clearly nothing compared to a Z.
Hyundai has been dumping a boatload of cash into marketing. They've done a phenomenal job turning their brand image around; but only time will tell if their cars are
actually better now. It's been well known for decades that almost all review magazines are sleeping with the manufacturers. And the initial quality ratings have been bogus for a long time. Not once have they ever taken into account that buyers of higher-end cars are generally more picky than those of lower-end cars.
