What I guess I'm trying to say is, expecting a hands free mic. to stack up to a phone mic. on a hand set is very hard. We did figure out the if you talk in a regular tone it sounded better than when you try and raise you voice. I'm going to turn the mic. volume up a little more, and talk at a normal level. But again, it sounds good now. I just still think I can tweak a little more. Hope that helps.

Thanks man, I'm still trying to decide what unit to put in the Z. I never use nav, so thats not too important to me, and our company Blackberrys have GPS anyway. I know I want a DVD touchscreen. A few models now put the microphone built into the face of the unit....... a nice feature, but if I go with one that has an external mic, the stealth install, like you did, is important to me..... so thanks for the heads up on the sound quality installed in the factory location!
