So something was up with that highway driving.
Shift into 6th gear next time!

I really don't understand how people are even getting over 230. Its about 100 degrees here in KC, I've had my car for a year. Not once have I ever gone over 230, it is normally 225 max, and generally about 210.

If you are that concerned about it, simply watch your temps. If the temp has gotten to a range that you are not comfortable with, back off the rpm's. I'd think this would be common sense, but maybe not...

If you have not checked your coolant level lately, go do it right now. I lost quite a bit with no leaks present over the first few months. Less coolant, especially a significant amount, will result in your oil running hotter in this car.

Turn on your A/C if you want lower temps. I know it has been mentioned in other threads, and I've personally watched the difference between on/off. My oil is typically 5-10 degrees cooler with the A/C on the lowest setting.

And finally, if you still don't like any of these options, or it is causing you too much stress...sell the car. Pretty sure most other cars don't even have oil temp gauges. Ignorance is bliss.
