because everyone and there mother have wheels with a chrome lip.. and when i saw these in matte black in person.. i fell in love with them.. im not hating on chrome lips.. i personally have a supra with 19x12 gunmetal 57pro with chrome.. but axis did a great job creating this concave rim... its something different.. instead of being like every other car out there with aftermarket rims
