Nissan of Garden City
Hey guys, see below for the e-mail I just sent to Nissan of Garden City which outlines what just happened. I was looking at a 2009 370z Touring. After dealing with these jerks, I realized how refreshing and honest Joe Clem over at Koeppel was. I sincerely wish that I could've gotten a car with them, but in the end they weren't able to get a hold of the car I wanted from another dealer.
"Please note that I have just returned from your dealership. I spent no more than 3 minutes in the showroom with a salesman. He didn't introduce himself and he certainly did not take the time to remember mine (he kept calling me Greg). First he told me no test drives under any circumstances then he lied to me and told me the car was a 2010, which its not. Then he asked me what price I saw advertised, I told him the internet price, and he told me its firm (How could he know if its firm if he didn't know the internet price in the first place?) Then he proceeded to tack on destination fees and other fees in excess of $1000. These fees were not even DMV or taxes. I then left my chair and left the dealership and thats when he yelled and told me I shouldve called first.
FYI, I had my checkbook and credit card on me and was ready to put a down payment on it if everything checked out. You have just lost a potential customer and I will be telling all my friends & family not to purchase from your dealership as well as posting this e-mail online at all Nissan Enthusiast Forums and Nissan USA Corporate.
Thank you very much."
