okay, recommend that you also:

1. take 1-2 hours and inspect the wiring harness for any severed wires... there are MANY very fine wires in there that can easily be severed if someone is not careful... there is a possibility that someone may have attempted to repair the harness too... a good dealer tech should be able to trace this down - the procedures are all in the service manual re how to distinguish between severed wires and other issues. Big FYI - all of the connections on the harness are unique, so it is extremely unlikely that something got plugged in in the wrong place... did he create new ground connections? possible he forgot to ground some part of the harness?

2. stop by wal*mart or wherever and pick up a code reader / eraser... prob $30 and will allow you to delete any codes yourself
