IMO, the first oil change should be the Nissan oil (same type that went into the car from the factory). The second oil change would be the Redline 5W-30. Personally, I will go with Redline synthetic, but not until I hit 3K miles. My first oil change will be at 1K...my second will be Redline at 3K. Then, I will change oil every 3K. Everyone's opinion will differ.

Would someone talk me into it or out of it. I know its my choice i'm getting my oil changed for the first time in my new Z it's at 3500 miles.Anyway regular or
synthetic i know its 5w30. I don't track it its a daily driver. Thanks for any imfo.
Putting regular or synthetic oil - that's something YOU have to decide. You can go with whatever you like. I def like synthetic oil and went with Redline. I switched to synthetic oil around 4000 miles and today I'm at about 20,000 miles. No problem so far. I would suggest you to go with synthetic but regular dino oil is fine too. You just have to change more frequently. BTW, you can use any on shelf 5W30 oil.
