Compared to the stock intake tubes, the Cobb tubes are smooth, eliminating turbulence as the air enters the throttle bodies. The silicone should be better at than rubber or metal at preventing the intake air from being heated up.

My butt dyno reports the Cobb tubes along with K&N filters delivers smoother throttle response and more pep at wide open throttle.

The combination of these two parts makes for a sensible intake improvement for about $200.
