They are tires built to the specifications of whatever the year they are representing. So a '65 "classic" tire is constructed in the exact same way as the actual 1965 tire was. They are typically hard as rocks with little grip compared to a modern radial.

If that car in the video was running on a modern radial racing tire there's no way he'd be sliding as much as he was.
