This is a good idea, unfortunately it does not translate to the real world. All of our pulleys are built to the same specs and all go through strict QC before shipping. The problem is not on our end. Believe it or not, not all OEM components are built to the same high tolerances that you might imagine.
So as strange as this may sound... you may have a very tight fit on one 370, and not so tight a fit on another 370. So like I said, in very rare cases a bit of sanding may be necessary. Really nothing to worry about.
