The state of NJ is in a fiscal shambles... I'm sure the local cops are constantly being pressured to give out tickets for any offense, regardless how insignificant, to raise revenue. I feel sorry for guys like you who have been driving without a front plate for years without issue... It must feel like they changed the law without telling you in your eyes.
I just wish they would crack down more on people on their phones in the car... They are the ones who really make the roads unsafe!!!
