Truer words were never spoken. I also note that Corvettes are everywhere, not much exclusivity. I also note that most Vette owners are 60-75 years old.
GM makes a big deal (as does Ford) about highway mileage numbers for the Vette (and Ford with the new Mustang GT). In the real world, however, expect about 12-13mpg (combined) with a big V-8. Don't believe me? Look at Car & Driver's fuel economy ratings on their road tests.
So...when gasoline is again $4/gallon, you will be crying in your beer that you gave up your fuel-efficient 6-cylinder Nissan. And when the Vette's crappy interior and shitty seats lose their new-car luster....
