I did ask if he had a phone number to call to get the answer and he said he did not know it. I'm thinking "JEEPERSNATE" is on the right track with this. He has done what I was going to do next by contacting NISSAN USA and pose the question to them. They should be able to call the plant that produced our cars and find out from them the correct sequence numbers and get us the answers we want. JEEPERSNATE; please keep us posted on what you find out. I'll be unable to call anyone as I'm in the middle of moving back to the good old U.S.A from Japan and won't be back until next week.
I'll definitely keep you posted. I emailed them just now for an update on the second part of my question, which was asking about the production number. When I submitted the original email to NissanUSA there was a spot to type in your VIN number. So maybe they will find the production number like you said, VIN specific.
