I purchased a base and since than have....
Traded my stock 18's plus 650 for a set of 19's....
Purchased a stock VLSD Pumpkin for 650
Purchased a Spoiler from the dealer, but as a throw in on my cars price but it was I belive 600ish and they waived labor...
And my base brakes stink imo , they fade and have a studder that makes wheel wiggle to them at 10k... Im contemplating changing the fluid, resurfacing rotors and getting better pads OR Buying the Sport Front brakes that will run me 700 ish... and i Still wont have the rear. Granted I drive hard and spirited. If you observe every law on the street, all the time, the base brakes will be fine but thats not the case with me.
So there is what it costs out of pocket already and I wont have SRM, Do i Wish i Just got sport package ? Sure but Im not all that un happy now that I have the wheels and VLSD ... Which too me are the two big ones.. With the brakes 3rd on the list..
Also, The sport package gauge cluster is different as it tells you what gear you are in, the base models do not have that feature either.
The value of the package is certainly great no doubt about it. But you can manage without. No VLSD drove me INSANE though, the stock VLSD pumpkin is a huge step up from open diff despite what some people will say.
The SRM my buddy has and its cool yea. But i couldnt care less that I dont have it. I manage just fine with out but Im sure if I had it in my car I would like it a little more.. Im still waiting for someone to add this to a base model. I dont think it could be all that hard unless some how the sport packages revised gauge cluster has something to do with it, than the cost would go sky high and not be worth it. But its prob just a few sensors and solenoids.
