Months??? That was like a year and 2 months ago. I have that magazine in my archive... lol
People keep saying the 370z is the only true sports car. Its like people dismiss GT's totally. GT's are the more balanced vehicles to drive at extremely high speeds. I've driven cars that were better balanced than 2 seat sport coupes. GT's n 2seaters have a different focus. I understand that. But a 2 seat sports car isn't automatically superior cuz it has 2 seats.
The comparo wasn't done to be a direct comparo. It was actually done just to get an idea of how much power a genesis coupe can produce.
The genesis coupe topping out in price where the other two cars begin I think did rather well. And having driven the GC. You will find its steering to be as balanced as the Z and better than a G37s. (I kno cuz I own the G) it can't outrun a G but its handling is near identical. (I've driven the GC a few times) with the right tranny and ecu fixes the GC in 2011 may be a bigger threat than it is now. As far as the mustang. 2011 brought a new stang and those numbers aren't valid. The GC will probably always be 5% or 10% behind the competition. But at 25% to 35% less than the comp. Its still a great value.
Your preferences lie where they may. My preference is nissan myself. But a spade is a spade. The genny is a true contender, and in the future, a GC fully modded? Nay-sayers will get slapped with some reality.
Any car company putting out a balanced high power sport coupe at a reasonable price is ok in my book.
