its not just straight line performance. the gtr actually was never meant as a drag racer. its all about track performance, and it does that much better than the zr1. yes, the corvette can be very fast, as fast as or even slightly faster than the gtr, but only in the right hands. anyone less than a professional driver will be unable to handle the zr1 or extract its performance. the gtr on the other hand is much easier to drive consistently. its handling is very predictable and it does not overtax the driver like the zr1 does. for a car relatively speaking that is heavy and underpowered, the gtr posts some very amazing lap times. we still have yet to see any lfa laptimes. what is lexus afraid of?
