You are still breaking it in so numbers are low. Altimas start off that way. Both 6 and 4 bangers. After 5,000 miles suddenly it sips. Don't grandma the car, but don't push it to the limit and u will get the best mileage. Altimas like throttle. So find the sweet spot.
One thing good about the altima. Its engine placement is FMR, just like the Z. Later on, if you lower it with a proper street performance coilover kit and sways, it will feel as balanced as a RWD.
Downside. It will remind you its FWD in fast sharp turns. (It still takes turns better than any FWD I ever drove) Torque steer kicks in like a mutha. But the vdc will help slow that down some. Its not a Z but gove her love and she'll love you back.
