Do you find that you can still have a conversation without having to yell at the person next to you (my girlfriend likes chatting in the car)? I'm debating wether to go with a new 370Z or a used G37S because of the whole noise issue (the 370Z seemed more fun to drive because you could actually hear it).
I wouldn't say 'bad.' I can easily live with it but there may be some eye rolling to put up with from my wife. I definitely bought this for me and she gets that (and she loves it too). This car is crazy sexy and a real head turner. It's also an 'event' each time I get in it. I don't think I'd get nearly the same raw feeling in a G. Don't get me wrong - the G is beautiful, but I think the Z will make your heart pound! The tire noise is noticeable, but IMO absolutely bearable for such a purpose built machine. Above 80 km/h it starts intruding on the conversation a bit, but you don't have to yell. Don't let it be a deal breaker! I see a G pretty much every time I'm out. I've seen a 370Z only four times *total* in Ottawa which makes it feel that much more special!
