Man, I see these kinds of drivers every day. I drive 95 every day from Bmore to DC and back, and every time traffic slows down, you get these "heroes on the shoulders" or "weaver birds". It's one thing to drive like a **** when you have the hardware to handle it, but I see huge SUV's doing it, and this once I saw a guy in a station wagon tailgating the guy in front of him. There was obvious road rage going on. Well, Mr. wagon decides that, although he's got plenty of space to slow down, he's gonna rev his engine and overtake all agressively. His crapwagon fishtails, he overcorrects one way towards the median, overcorrects the other way, and slams right into the side of the guy he was tailgating. So now, for 20 mins or so of heavy traffic and road rage, when the highway finally clears, this guy has now ruined his life, the life of the other driver, and collateral damage to any passengers, plus creating a whole new traffic jam.

Sometimes it just pays to be patient. I'm glad Mr. SUV in your story just rear-ended a grocery hauler and didn't wipe and spin on a major highway like the guys in mine.
