We all make choices in life that have consequences. This loser made a choice now he must face the consequence. I seriously doubt the police will provide a satisfying outcome to your situation. If law enforcement pulls through then great it's over. If not, don't be consumed with revenge. But if the opportunity presents itself then seize it.
