i think i already won...









this is all that i cut on both sides. screw for reference.
just use a utility knife.



the LEFT and RIGHT marking is reversed... use the RIGHT for your LEFT and LEFT for your RIGHT.



i wonder why...



watch out, the piston housing is too big and hits this area (red arrow)... you need to enlarge the
holes that hold the plastic cover and move it towards the center of the car so that the
cover does not latch over the ledge coming off the fender panel (blue arrow)



otherwise you end up with a delicious bulge...



after the fix it's still rubbing somewhere but it's acceptable level. no one can tell it's very slighly pushed up.

i would definitely NOT recommend this damper for CF hoods. it's a high spring rate unit
vs others ive tried on different cars.

as far as opening width, it doesn't open as wide as the factory post location so
you wont be able to use your post again unless you remove the dampers off.

im pretty happy with it.
