I believe it is both. The peak torque on the VQ was at 3800 rpms so the power came on pretty early and flattened out up top. The 370's peak torque is at 5200 rpms. But it also feels like the drive by wire setting on the 3.7 is set to be less responsive, which equals smoother day to day driving. The 350 was very responsive and jerky (which I liked though). I think this was the first thing most former 350 drivers noticed.
