DE-FUZZ The Ragtop
I bought all the products to wash, then do the three step process; clean, polish and wax. I was so excited to get started, set up the two buckets, mixed the car wash soap, rinsed off the whole Z, then with wash mitt in hand, started by lightly washing the top.
The operative words here are "wash mitt."
I bought a top end sponge to be used only for the top, but in my excitement to get going, I forgot and used the mitt instead. The result - LINT all over the top! LOL.
Now the reason for this post. I found that when the top dried, using one of those reverse rolled masking tape things that we use to take the lint off our clothes made the top look like new!
The top looks better now than when the Z was delivered.
Now that I discovered this technique, because of my stupid move, I plan on "de-linting" every once in a while as a part of regular maintenance.
Just thought I'd pass this along, maybe some of you will find it handy.
I originally posted this under Exterior and Interior, should have posted it under Roadster (Convertible). Sorry Ak.
