I've heard that doing that is hard on the transmission. Better to heel-toe downshift or use your synco rev. Burn brakes, not transmission fluid where possible. Brakes are cheaper than a new transmission!

I thought the SyncroRev was kinda niftly initially, but I use a manual tranny like a primary brake and rarely tap the brake pedal unless I'm at a stop light.
