Default Self-maintenance?

So I'm aware most of you do your own oil change but do you also perform your own 3k mile inspection also?

I can do my oil change easy but I've never done any of the other maintenance so I'm wondering if it's any harder than doing a oil change. Also I'm assuming the 3k inspection checklist and instructions can be found in the service manual?

Last but not least, will the dealership/Nissan penalize me for doing my own inspections? For example, if something went bad before my 3 year, can Nissan deny me to cover the part that should've been covered under warranty?
