If its the same plan they were working on in 07-08. It won't do as well as other competitors coming out. A mazda rx7, toyota ft-86(along eith subie version) and mitsubishi is working on another awd 290hp eclipse that might possibly come out for 2012.(still not much word on that car. Its on the hush)
The Z has not been the kind of car to be in the middle of a line up of similar cars. When they pulled in the 90's. The 3000gt, eclipse awd, supra, rx7, and corvette were all in the game. Nissan jumped out and cancelled there cars. I'm not saying they can't compete with those cars cuz they can. But it seems like, when the Z is in a very competitive american market. Nissan pulls out.
Are the japanese are still angry over WW2? Or is it renault(france) is still mad about freedom fries??? Lol.
Either way... let by gones be by gones and stay in the game. 400z baby.
I don't understand this post. The 240Z was created especially for the American market, and most Nissan design is done in the USA. The USA is by far the largest market for cars. And heavier cars in the USA have always been due to mandated safety equipment. The WW2 comment and the "freedom fries" comment (is there anything more pathetic than the idiots who coined "freedom fries"?) are uncalled-for. And the RX-7, 3000GT and Supra were all pulled for the same reason the 300ZX was pulled. They couldn't sell any of them.
