A tip for anyone who does go this route. Mark the alignment of the top hats in relation to the strut. One of the 3 corners should be in line but perpendicular to the bottom strut hole. If they don't put them properly, you won't be able to reinstall.
So important, I had to take one stut back to the shop because of this.
