Apps are hit or miss with terrible buggy quality of most apps...and the touch screen sucks (though that's a phone issue and not an OS issue) The same app on the iPhone is about 100 times better in quality (Google maps for example). Windows Mobile 7 is learning, by developing a "closed loop" app store pretty much copying apple, so they won't have the app cluster **** that is android. However, if specs mean more than function to people, the new HTC evo 4g on sprint seems pretty cool. Too bad it runs android.

There is a lot of opinion(s) in your post but also a lot of miss information.
Google maps is actually a lot
worse on the iPhone, first Google Maps is a few revisions ahead on the Droid, Apple has stopped updates on Google Maps between a debate with Google & Apple. The app store on Android is controlled, you
do have the ability to installed unknown apps but those are not in the app store.
Apps are 100 times better on the iPhone OS v. Android, would love to hear some actual apps or examples of this. Everything my co-worker(s) and my personal usage of the iPhone shows both apps run equally on the Droid and iPhone.
Android browser, well there is Opera if you are unhappy, but the only thing the Droid browser lacks is pinch to zoom...wait it got that in 2.1 update.
