I wanted to take the time to give many thanks to Joe and Antoine for making my car buying (actually, leasing) experience as easy and pleasureable as possible. I initially went to Smithtown Nissan but when I stumbled upon these forums, I decided to give Joe a call since he had some pretty good rep. I'm glad I did! While Smithtown was busy playing games with me, Joe was able to:
- Refer me to Robert_Nash to get a VPP number for a huge discount
- Give me $500 more for my trade than what I originally asked for (who does that?)
- Give me a no haggle, no hassle deal that worked out to be $40 per month lower than Smithtown's "final offer". I didn't even tell Joe what Smithtown's offer was! No drama, no BS, no salesmanship...just the best deal right off the bat!
I originally contacted Joe on March 29th, and since the VPP program ended on the 31st, we needed to get everything done in two days, which included finding the exact car that I wanted...since he didn't have it on the lot. Not a problem for Joe! Not only that, but because my CPA advised me to put as little down as possible, I asked if he would be able to use my trade just for tax, tags and registration and cut me a check for the rest. Of course...no problem! How does it feel to drive off the lot with a 2010 6 speed PG roadster with NAV & Sport Package, AND a $7500 check in my pocket? Pretty f***ing amazing!
It needs to be said also that Joe and Antoine were also really likeable and quality guys in general. While the car was being prepped, we all had a good time just standing around and shooting the sh*t. It would take me too long to say exactly why, but Antoine is one funny dude...not to mention a really good sport! When you stop by, ask Antoine about the bluetooth story...maybe he'll tell you!
In short, whatever pocket change these guys made on the transaction, I was glad to have them get it. If you're within 2 hours of Queens, and you want the easiest and cost effective car buying experience you possibly can get, you'd be making a huge mistake if you didn't call Joe!
Joe, feel free to cut and paste this as needed if you'd like to post my review on any other sources. And don't hesitate to use me for a reference, if needed.
Thanks guys...I'll be seeing you in 42 months!
