Default How to get a spare tire for 370Z Roadster

For those of you who want to get a spare tire for your 370Z Roadster, I already sent the Nissan part number for the kit, but you had to buy the actual spare TIRE separately.

The dealer initially found some tire whse in New Jersey, but they told the dealer that the tires could be as much as four years old, I told the Dealer to forget it, and looked elsewhere. If I am going to buy a new spare, I want it to be NEW, not a four year old tire that's half past it's expected safety life. And especially at $300 dollars a pop! So be careful where you buy the tire, and make sure it's new, or close to new. Not four years old. But of course, that's your call.

I'll give you all the info once again, so you won't have to go back and search for it.

The spare tire kit Nissan part number is:
999W5 ZW000 370Z CONV. SPAR

The tire is a Bridgestone. Size: T145/70/R18
My Nissan Dealer Parts ordered the tire from Dealer Tire, it's out of Chicago.

The tire was manufactured the 41st week of 2009, so it's pretty new, not some old tire thats ready to degrade.

The Kit includes everything you need to have the complete spare tire set up, like right from the factory, EXCEPT THE TIRE, and costs $460.00.

The tire itself was $300.00.

My tire will be in early next week, the Dealer will mount and balance the tire on the wheel, then all I have to do is to take the flat repair center styrofoam out of the center, and install the new spare set up with appropriate tools, jack and etc.
