When that day comes, however, I can see a lot of purists (of the drag racing variety) getting pissed off. Though a 2010 Track Pack GT with IRS would no doubt put up better numbers than the current live axle. It's actually scary to think about how good that car would be all around.

I do agree about the styling and how it lacks imagination. I wish they progressed from the 99-04 design instead of going back to 1964.5 and taking that entire design. That said, I do think Ford did a really good job with it, I just wish they had gone a different route.

My biggest gripe has always been the size. The 99-04s were sized right. My 03 GT weighed a little over 3200 lbs and was more comparable in size to a 370 than a 2005+ Mustang. Wish they had kept the dimension (and weight) in smaller.
