the big difference though is that the z borrows styling cues from the old 240z but adds a lot of modern touches to it. the mustang is essentially a carbon copy of the older model, both inside and out. it gives more of an impression of lack of creativity than a tribute to its lineage. the ford gt at least mixed retro with modernity pretty good. speaking of which, that ford gt was a pretty nice car, the only modern ford i would have loved to own one day. too bad they killed it and instead kept making those outdated mustangs. and yes, they are outdated. a solid rear axle has no place whatsoever on a 21st century car. i can tolerate anything and everything else on a car, but that solid axle needs to die, get buried, and never be resurrected again.
