If you check the forum you will see minor fitment issues from all exhausts, more so the popular ones because they sell more. Usually it is minor and just need little changes to fix them. How does Nissan do it? Well the hangers can be bent (no change in exhaust), maybe heating up a pipe to get a slightly different bend on those that do not pass Nissan inspection.

There are many different reasons, but when going with a custom exhaust you want the car on site for the best result. Plus you can dial things in better, sound, flow, etc.
