Default Minor SWI-Jack issue

I re-installed my DNX8120 today with a Kenwood GTM10 traffic receiver and a SWI-JACK steering wheel control. Thanks to bigaudiofanat and a lot of other helpful information on here, everything worked the first time out, EXCEPT for...
When I do the setup for the SWI-JACK, it will only recognize the volume up and volume down buttons. I have tried multiple different combinations to try to set them up, but I can't find anything that will work. I am clueless about the nitty-grittys of electronics, but I was wondering if one of the resistors might be toast.
Anyone here intimately knowledgeable about the SWI-JACK and its functions?
If not, at least the volume control works!

Thanks in advance

edit: Realized I kept calling the adapter SWI-PAC instead of SWI-JACK. Doh!
